look for little jumpers that let you change the multiplier or the front side bus....then change the values.....
ok, this is an easy one...get a celly 1.0Ghz, and write P150 on the top of it with a marker...that's one hell of an overclock, my friend...Happy New Year!
The P-150 runs at 60 MHz FSB with a default multiplier of 2.5X. It's a very simple and easy overclock to change the FSB to 66 MHz and you have an instant P-166 with no fuss and no hassle. No extra cooling or voltage increase needed. The catch is, you'll need to research your motherboard and figure out which jumpers to change. Above 166 you might need a little better cooling and in some situations, a little extra voltage to get it stable. Always have better cooling before increasing voltage. To start out with, I don't recommend anymore than 10% increase with a stock heatsink. Some mobos have a 75 FSB setting because a few of the Cyrix CPUs ran at that speed. Running up to 75 FSB will net you about 188 MHz. If you can only go up to a max of 66 FSB, then the next step is 3X multiplier for a total of 200 MHz. That's getting to be a big jump for that CPU, but many of them will do it (a few won't). However, it will probably require better cooling (at least using a good thermal paste between the CPU and heatsink). You can get high output 40mm fans too, usually the fans on those old Pentium classics were pretty wimpy. Hope this helps.
If it was a boxed chip good luck trying to get the HSF off....They're bonded really good!
