Shipping and Handling US $8.00 US Postal Service Priority Mail®

Been in use for 1 year

So he's profiting on shipping and they've been in use for a year, alright deal I guess if you need a 2nd one to play with Raid.

last time i shipped USPS priority, it cost me more than that. i don't think he's profiting.

probably costs around $7, not even counting the box/packing supplies.

That's a fair amount for shipping considering he has a set amount for anywhere in the country.

If he uses a flat rate priority mail box it can come out to around $6-8 depending on the box he gets from them.

Edit - Actually Domestic flat-rate boxes are $8.95 from usps' site.

if someone already had a 36gb drive already and wanted raid this is a decent deal... other than that id much rather have 2 seagate 250gb 410AS's from the egg... faster, quieter and cooler... and right now 69.99 a piece with free shipping.

I saw some benches this is faster than RAID in seek time but about same in read time. So I guess if you seek a lot then this is for you otherwise can do with RAID.

I have a 36, had it for years. I love it, but I wouldn't get another. It's too small, and I don't do RAID anymore really, so I'd prefer something larger, even if it is a little slower. Right now it is a dedicated XP drive for lan parties, and vista resides on my slower 320GB seagate, which I use daily.

If anyone here buys more than two from this seller, here's my advise:

Buy them in groups of three and not four. Since his feedback is 97.9%, thats below the 98% Paypal requires for over $200 in buyers protection.

So just spend more than $200 with any seller with feedback <98%

Zero negatives in the past year, and 67 positives. Looking at the last few pages of feedback, it's mostly hard drives like these raptors... I would say it's safe to assume he's not scamming people. I would feel comforting buying over $200 worth.

So if I just get my feedback below 98% I won't be able to get anymore paypal disputes? Haha :D

It has nothing to do with being scammed, it's a Paypal policy. Anything below 98% is only eligible for $200 in buyers protection.

Any update on this?

Hank, the reviews I read, he had two different auction titles, and they reflected the ammount of cache the drives contained.

Also, ADFD drives contain the 16MB.
