Try using a voltmeter to check the switch for conductivity. That would at least rule out that possibility.

Is the lead from the case switch plugged into the correct two pins?? Sounds like a problem that the power supply never gets the message to turn on.

Check your main connector - remove and reset.

CAREFULLY hook up some wires to manually jumper the power switch - then you know you made contact. BE CAREFUL - don't need smoke here!!

I once made a pc up ( my first actually)! and screwed the mobo 2 the case and didn't realise that i'd screwed it in in such a way as to bend the borad...
everything connected up there was no power to anything, the fan on the cpu jumped, but no led's on or note on the screen,..
it was the last thing i checked, but i'll neva make that mistake again!!
try that,!

Well.. You can jump it with a tool on the motherboard, Please tell us your Motherboard & Computer specifications.

If you have a computer toolkit, There's somethingon the motherboard where you can jump it (I've seen it done at multiple lan parties)

Yeah.. It could.. But i doubt it.
Go to radioshack, And ask how to do it, and what tool you need.
