Need sound advice

I just installed a Turtle Beach - Santa Cruz sound card and I dont know doodly crap about sound, I just got it because it was recomended.

Well I want to tweak it out to make it clocked up "to the top notch" of course but I dont know how. So I am looking for advice on tweaking my SC to proform its best... especially for the game Counter Strike, I am also looking for info on A3D and EAX because I dont know what they are and I want to read up on diffrent sound settings so I can learn how to mess around with my card.

Also I have noticed that I have a little lag on menues with rollover button sounds (mouse passes over a button and it makkes a click sound and highlights the button) so I would like to know if I can solve that prob too.

EPoX 8K7A+
AMD TB 1.2 266
2x 256mb Crucial pc2100
VisionTek GreForce2 Ultra
Maxtor 7200 HD
360w PSU

download and install newest drivers, and you cant really oc a ssound card, sorry....also i dont know if the SC supports A3D or EAX but it does have awesome sound quality...

Also, what kind of speakers are you using? Because if you have a great sound card but bad speakers, you will probably not hear and performance increase?

On a diff topic, did they get of the status New Member Acko? Or are you special? LOL

D*mn it! You just got another post while I was typing and now it says you are a member. Guess they did change the name. The New Member name kind of makes people sound like freshmen in a high school. I hate them so much. LOL:D
