Has anyone tried the BETA yet? Like it? Should I cancel my preorder? First thoughts? I can't wait to give it a shot when I get off of work. :bang head
Let us know what you think once you give it a shot.

Very interesting game... If you've played the BF franchise before you should be pretty comfortable with this game. There are a number of issues with the game, accuracy issues, network latency issues, shooting someone point blank range with a granade launcher and the guy just walks away issues.... but that being said. Its a good game, very fast paced. Not only are you divided into companies, but squads as well. So your 12 v 12 game can can ultimately be split up into 3 4 man teams against eachother; if, of course, your team decides to play that way. The beta has 2 maps one is designed to be an infantry map, the other a vehicle map. One team is the attacker and the other is the defender. Scattered thoughout the map are Gold chests. The defenders defend the chests, and the attacker attacks the chests. Pretty cut and dry. The gold version should have many more game types. The thing I really like about this game is that when you die... you can either choose to respawn at your base or you can choose to be redeployed with your squad. So if your squad is already deep in enemy territory you don't have to travel across the map to find your squad. You respawn right back into the action. Only down side to that is.... if your squad is under siege at the time you respawn... you are going to have to wait another 10 seconds to respawn because you WILL be killed almost instantly. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have. I would be more than happy to try to answer them.

The game looks really good graphically and everything. They need to work more on lighting though, that Oasis map is in the desert and the sun is beating down on you........Yet it doesn't look very bright at all. Also the sound needs a lot of work, you can barely hear weapons but ambient sound is loud enough.
I agree on some weapons, say the shotgun for instance...Shooting someone point blank doesn't kill them. One thing I love is artillery, so much fun to use but honestly it does need to be nerfed.
Overall it feels like a beta, things need attention but I'd like to see everything ironed out and would be a lot of fun.
