Now im going to get a little arguement going here, lol, everyone post what yout thinks better(Deul Core or Parallel Processing) and give a detailed reason :)
just to see how this turns out.

I think the way this would be solved is through stats.

It's a rather moot argument, as you would need to compare either a CPU with 2 cores on it, or 2 CPUs with only a single core each. Meaning, you would need to revert back to older CPU architecture as the only comparable CPUs now a days that aren't DC, are the Celeron and the Sempron, both of which are worthless in their own right, so no need to even think of bringing them into this.
Now, if we were talking older tech, a single core Intel or AMD CPU, the cream of the crop, vs. say a SPARC or other server-grade CPU, there would be no contest as to efficiency/winner.
But the task at hand would also be a need to know item. Rendering? Data crunching? Or just max throughput?
Now, if we were talking semi-newer chips, such as the AMD Athlon X2 vs. the dual Opteron setup, I vote Opteron. On mostly anything you throw at it. Again, the terms of the setup come into play, such as the motherboards used, memory, etc. Of course a dual-Opteron setup won't run Crysis well if at all, and an X2 system will most likely struggle rendering some hardcore 3d rendering.
Moot argument. :p
