Nice find. However TankGuys currently has the E3110 OEM for $199 + shipping, and its consistently hitting 4GHz with .1 volts lower then the E8400. Whoever said the Xeons chips weren't binned higher was lying :p

That's why it was included in the original post. However, some people like shopping newegg.

funny it popped up now. i just sold an e8400 on ebay and didn't lose $$ like i would have if this popped up b4 hand.

500x8 should work, no? :) 4ghz would be the ultimate 24/7 OC that most ppl would consider... at least I would, but for serious benching yes you would want the x9 multi.

Actually, I still have to mess with the x8 multi on my E8400, but just haven't had the chance. I currently run it at 4ghz with the x9 multi... 444mhz FSB.
