Pentium 4 cooling question

I don't own one myself; this is a question of simple curiosity.

How do the heatsinks actually clip to the socket? I've seen pics of P4 HSF's with their clips on the ends and I'm dumbfounded how they actually attach to the socket.

attached to the motherboard are two clip holders. Basically, the intel stock sink has tworectangular metal peaices on each side, which are open in the middle. They attach to a part jutting out and it holds it there. It works like any clip sink i beleive. MOst good P4 sinks screw onto the motherboard, though.
