Umm.. theres puny holes at the base of my aluminium waterblock and when I open it, I saw the aluminium has turn black and I suggest that some sort of eroding is going on... How do I prevent the leakage
I try some metallic sticker that come with the block but I am scared that they are just like thermal pad... that will melt..
Below is the picture
PS the base height is 1mm.... It is SENFU water block
Below are some sources

Um.. is actually a square with 2 dots drawn by me....
This is a common occurence with Senfu(3rd instance I have seen this). If I was you I would file under W and get a copper block. If you mix metals you are likely to pick up problems.

I think I should get a HSF instead...
Can you recommend a heatsink that would make a Tbird 1Ghz(200) at default go under 35C?
Why get a new heatsink when your water rig is up.
Replace your water block with the DD Maze 2 then.
People would give alot for your water rig right there.

Well if you get a heatsink what would it be in a local vendor? I probably guarantee you that you will find no heatsink thats suitable in a local vendor that will cool your Tbird to a 200fsb 1.4tb.
How much cash do you have avaliable in your pockets approx?

I know they aren't poor. I'm asian myself and yes I speak chinese as well.
Although I'm just saying your going to deal with alot of noise with high end heatsinks like Alpha Swiftech etc. They'll need a most high end fan on them to keep up with them.
Go for another block! Or make one yourself or something! C'mon you got a water rig!
I am with Yodums - you are going to pay as much for a good HSF as you will for a new block. I got my Be-Cooling block for $30. They ship world wide for $15.

Well I don't see how any other HSF would match water cooling.
They're just as pricey they need very high quality fans meaning more sound to keep up with their performance.
Well its your choice

Hey.. I just found out that my old fan (HSF) is quieter than quiet fans blowiing through my Radiator's fins
What kind of HSF is it and is it actually going to do the job of cooling Tbirds because they run very hot.

C'mon you can't tell me $45 buck is too much to spend on a water block. I mean it is not cheap but you already have everything else. A good hsf cost about $35-40. The noise is not worth it. I got a Swiftech 462 and it is so loud, so I just brought myself DD Maze 2 block, two copper heater cores, and a pump. Costing me about $150 so far. Anyway $45 US is like $360 HK which from what my cousin told me is not enough for a good meal. She lives in HK.

Good... Call her to order one for me..
I mean you go to Hong Kong sometimes right, give it to her then to me...
is $63 with all the shipping + 3% Visa charge! Thats like $500! $500 can get a Samsung 256DDR or Athlon 900Mhz or Cheap motherboard
By the way, anyone knows anywhere that I can RENT a technology room with drills, torch and stuff? I think my school doesn't allow us to do that... sign... (since I m not a Tech sstudent)
Have you thought of trying water wetter?
