I see that the Q9450 is out, anyone have one of these? How are they folding?

I can't answer on F@H and my QX9650, but in Seti that QX absolutely owns anything else. I have it clocked at 3700 MHz and I also have a Q6600 running at 3510 and the QX9650 consistently pulls 1000 RAC more than the Q6600 system (5000-5100 vs 4000 RAC). There is less than 200 MHz difference in clock speed yet there is a giant increase in RAC. I imagine that the 12 MB cache Yorkfields will see similar results when running cache intensive wu's in F@H too.
You can also now almost get 2 Q6600s (seen them as low as $189) for the price of the Q9450 ($350). Price drops are April 20, when the Q6600 can be had for ~$220 everywhere. But the 45nm chips are great with less power being used.

My E8400 gets ~2580ppd @ 4.05GHz with no affinity set. 1760pt SMP WU of course. ;)
Edit: that's WinSMP... just in case you were wondering. ;)
On current WUs the yorkfields outproduce the kentsfields 5% clock for clock. They do clock a lot higher though.

These things Pwn overclocking. I'm at 4.33 Ghz on a QX9650 with a Zalman 9700.
I've got a QX9770 waiting patiently for a X48 board. It didn't clock quite as high as the 9650 but both are well over 4.00 Ghz on air. Monster chips.
I'm looking at the 9450's as well... much cheaper...

I get ~3K ppd on a steady diet of 2605s on an Ubuntu VM with my E8400 @4Ghz- according to 2 instances of FAHMon.

I waited for EVER<sigh> for Intel to release the Q9450...got tired of waiting so I bought & just received a Q6600 GO and a GA-P35-DS3L from NE and built out, yesterday. I'll pick one up later this year, but I gotta say, for the time being the Q6600 GO(my first one) is performing well, for the dollar.

What's the temperature comparison for two equally clocked chips? ie: how much energy is actually saved by going q9450?

I can tell you that in the same system, my old QX6700 clocked to 3.46 and a G0 QX6850 at 3.42 both were much hotter in terms of temp and in electricity usage. At 4.33 on the 9650 with a prime 95 load I hit 62-63C now, folding is 60-61C with the old procs it was 67-70C and 66-68C when folding. The room the system is in isn't noticably hotter like it used to be either.
