What sound cards that are NON Creative (I have been passively boycotting Creative for a while now), due to the Daniel K fiasco and my curiosity in Vista for HTPC
I am looking for a better alternative.
Would prefer non optical out (cables tend to get tugged behind my desk), to run into my receiver to do 5.1 preferably.
Digital Coax out would be ideal for a single cable run.
Preferably I would like to get a card that will work on XP and Vista equally as well with minimal work (I dont really want to have to tweak a registry file to enable a function).
Any suggestions or opinions that again are NON Creative?
