Well, after much hard work and many chicken sacrifices i managed to get my athlon to run at 1411 mhz. Its seems fine in windows, but in counterstrike i get a little lag every couple of seconds. It just jerks and then goes on. Only happens at the higher speed. I went back to 1328 and its fine. At 1411 i was running about 2.1v, but the temps were not TOO bad, around 50c according to my compunurse. Any ideas. No change to the FSB, it was just the multiplyer and voltage.

To much pressure on your CPU.
Or Your videocard...
....
Down clock it ...
You dont need to overclock it over 400 MHz, Why?
You dont even notice a speed difference from 1300, To 1400 i imagine.
In CS, No difference.
Your putting to much pressure on your CPU, Alone running at 1575 MHz (175)Mhz Overclocked i was worried sick about my processor.
I Recommend a Glaciator II By the way, And downclock that to 1300 again.

I am running a Glaciator II, and if i just droped it back to 1300 what fun would that be. And so what if i cant see it, i want MORE SPEED :D
Its not the video card, it worked fine at the lower speed, and the FSB is the same.
O by the way, your 175mhz is nothing to worry about it, you should go for more, your chip may be able to do 1700 or even more if your lucky.
i think u should take what u can 1.3 is not bad from 1.0 maybe u should look into a faster chip..

Iv been thinking about getting an XP 1600+, maybe il do that. Seems people usually get more than this out of 1ghz athlons though.
