I saw these (http://www.jab-tech.com/Mega-Lazer-Led-7-Blue-Leds-with-black-housing-pr-4100.html) at jab-tech and was wondering how they compare to cold cathodes in power usage. I don't want to overload my psu with tons of lighting, but if they don't use much power then it might be worth getting a few.

I have seen those before. Nice lights, and no, they wont overload your psu. Are you talking about the PSU on your main rig btw?

here are a couple of examples of some moderate lighting with LED lights:
i think there are about 4 sets of LED lights on this one:

i think i only used 3 sets on this one:

Thats sexy! Yea it would be for my main rig. I don't really need them, since there are no windows on my case, but they are pretty cheap and pretty cool.

i built both of those rigs (among many others)... all lighting, cables, some cooling accessories, etc came from jab-tech
"Lazer" my butt. Oh well, that's marketing for you.
Draw: Less than 26 mA @ 12 volts

Meaning you'd have to put around 1150 LED's on your standard PSU's 12v rail to max it out.

Laz0rz?!?!?!?

I have a few of these from many moons ago, I figured out it was 1000x cheaper to build my own.

Yea, but I don't want to rip apart my nice and pretty CM-690... I think an old plastic piece of crap case would be a suitable first time mod victim.
