Hi

After deciding that I could do with a new video card I have decided to go with the Radeo 8500 route. But I a bit confused as to which one to choose. I was wondering if you guys could help, the choices are:

1). The Radeon on sale at overclockers.co.uk
2). The one at Dabs, the retail version not the DV
3). The Super Radeon available at ebuyer.com
4). Wait for the gigabyte version to come out.

I have a 3D project that i need to complete soon so a new card is a urgent necessity. I run 2 monitors and the only other solution I can think of is to use a GF3 and a PCI GF2 MX, but I don't think I can afford this.

Help would be much appreciated. I need a compromise between speed and price. The best clock speed and memory speed would be good.

Cheers

there is no doubt that the Gigabyte on ewill probably be the best, but i would suggest the ATI retail if you cant wait,.....

Where abouts wil I be able to get the Gigabyte one on the net in UK £s? Is there a site where I can check out the specs at all?

Its a tough call on when if if they will be available in your neck of the woods and the overclockers.co.uk Retail version looks good.

CALL THEM AND SPECIFICLY ASK IF IT SAYS BUILT BY ATI on the box to verify that its actaully a 275/275 3.6ns version.
