Um...i think the choice is clear.

Rez HD or bust.

I doubt this is true though, I thought they were giving something else out for free.

Its free, pay $15 a month for xbox live and you get 1 game free a month :)
Might happen, as most live players would actually believe its "free"

btw, they cant "refund" your credit card if you purchased your points at retail
BUT stupid people will do it cause stupid people believe anything

pay $15 a month for xbox live
Where the hell'd you get that figure? Xbox Live is $50 a year. That amounts to less than $5 a month.

Seriously, do some damn research before you bash something.

Uh, I'm pretty sure if you pay month it's 15$ a month. So Seriously, do some damn research before you bash something.

No one pays by month

No one pays by month

It doesn't change the fact that if you choose to pay per month it's 15$ a month.

Here let me do some research......

I will reword it first so to not offend the children by using big words

IF ( Ok, I said IF- remember that) M$ charged $15 a month for live and offered a FREE game every month. People would actually think there getting a FREE game. what I am saying is if they RAISE the price, and offered a free game....people would think the game is actually free.......

CAUSE YOU KNOW LIVE IS WORTH $5747395478 a month.....who wouldnt pay money to use there own bandwidth to play multiplayer games.

Ok kiddies...

I have a PS3 and a 360. I still pay for gold cause it is required to play Multiplayer on the 360. What I have beef with is where is my money going? Its not hosting servers cause 360 uses the players console to "host" the matches, its not to pay for the demo bandwidth cause now you need a gold account to download the demos as they come out....so what are we paying for?

I thought it was $7 a month... or is it $7.99? I switched to a monthly plan when it looked like I was going to sell (and eventually did) my 360.

Yeah, should be $7.99 for a month. I need to call and cancel mine, I have two free months from RROD's and don't know if I'll even use them.

You should be able to cancel from their website, but it doesn't work (I tried). I'll have to call, too.

Worst experience ever. Make sure you have an extra hour to call in (45 minutes of which is being placed on hold). Also make sure you're ready to talk to a guy that doesn't talk loud enough over the phone from a room full of other people who are yelling much louder than the guy you're talking to, making him completely incoherent, not to mention his thick accent. Oh yeah, you also need to remember the answers to the security questions you filled out 2 years ago when you signed up for Xbox live in addition to all credit card and personal information. Seriously MS, it's 2008, who doesn't have the option to cancel their service online with 3 clicks? I canceled my Xbox live about a month ago and will never sign up again after going through the ordeal of canceling it.

If you still have your xbox you can go to your account settings and cancel it there. Although it's probably too late for you now Rainless.

I looked around and couldn't find an option to cancel it through the Xbox live menu. Where do you cancel it from?

Ah I'm sorry I only see the option to modifiy your membership, I thought you could cancel it to but it looks like I was wrong.

Well.... you're not totally SOL. If you signed up with a game card you can simply let it expire and move on. If you signed up with a credit card you are screwed. There's no way to sign up for an account and turn off the "convenience" of auto-bill when your year/month of service is up, you HAVE to call MS and cancel it. And sorry to the OP for a semi-threadjack

Smart you. I'm usually a LOT less trusting of Microsoft. But I had my 360 when I was still living in Paris. The cards they had there weren't compatible with american 360s. So I didn't have much of a choice.
