Just recently bought a celery 900 with the hopes of over clocking it to 1200. I have a Abit BH-6 with the latest BIOS(12x multi). Every time I try to go past a 100MHz FSB the hard drive gets wiped!!? Tried 3 times now, 3 reinstalls of win2k and 2 hard drives later(first one is now dead) I'm starting to get a little nervous about try ever again!

Any ideas anyone?

I've had the same problem with going above 145FSB. Its been suggested that you can disable UDMA and it should be able to handle higher PCI bus speeds but some drives can just handle it better than others.

I can't wait til I pick up a new Seagate IV Barracuda so I can "retire" this old 13 gigger.

Hmm I don't understand what can be wrong here.

For one something is acting up because your cpu stock runs at 100fsb obviously.

What kind of HDD is it?

Your PCI seems to be in spec..
Hmm..

By the way will it post at say 105fsb?

Like post at 950 wipe the HDD reinstall windows and still post and still load windows?

What are your current bios settings/

I hope your not trying to change the multiplier since its locked.

Give us your "User Define" settings.

BH6 rev 1.0x do not have a 1/4 PCI didvider. Rev 1.1 and up do. 133 FSB = 44 MHz PCI on this board. Best bet is 112 FSB.

oldfart is right...i have 2 BH6 boards, 1 is BH6 v 1.02...when i
run cele 900 w/1.02, i can boot and load windows @ 133 fsb
with AGP vid card only. The fun starts when you add PCI
devices
