I use to have that card.

And check the card it only has a heatsink.

I was able to overclock it pretty high 215/215 and then it crapped out. I had a blorb on it.

No ramsinks.

Try this utility for overclocking;

Then get one of these;

You should be really getting more than that. The default speed of my card is 175C/166M. The O/C values are in my sig. My 3DMark2001 scores are just a little better than yours but I bet it wont stay that long if you got the addiction:eek:

*edit* I'm using the 12.41 drivers. None of the newer drivers work on my rig

Your card is very good , but your scores are low......
Have you updated your drivers?
Detonator 23.11 at least !!

I also believe you can increase your speed on both core & mem.

I have 3087 3DMark2001 with a Hercules MX II 400 / 32MB SDRAM
core=240 mem=202

Current system
MSI 6309 V-2.0B
P-III 1GHZ@1.1GHZ
Standard Intel HSF 38C full load 1.80vcore
256MB CORSAIR PC150 CAS2
WD BB 20GB ATA100 7200
FUJITSU 6.4GB ATA33 5400
CREATIVE 48X
SB 5.1 LIVE
HERCULES MX II 400

I thought I had to use the ASUS drivers?

Do you have an Orb on your card?

Brother, something is not right with your system...suggestions; start with a defrag of all drives, next go to program files dir and find the directx folder then go in the setup folder located within, run the directx tool within, locate your driver versions and notate them, then test your video under the video tab, exit out and check device manager for conflicts...then review the latest drivers for your chipset, ide/pci controllers and vid card and bios. update to the most recomended for stability, or to the latest beta versions for potential top performance, then defrag again...btw check that in 3dmark your video shows more that 64000 kb for available texture memory. I know your rig can hit 3000 in 3dmark2k1 for I have a pc133 system pushing a duron 800 to 994 (7x142fsb) and the first GeForce2MX 32mb sdr
(ergo core @175 mem@143 factory settings)and my 3dm2k1 scores are toped at 2797

One thing I must say about the GeForce2mx is that it does little good to outfit a video card with 128 bit core, 128 bit memory and then put a 64 bit connection between the 2,I cant manage to get near as much increase in FPS from overclocking the memory as the core on my current card, so I can immagine the bottleneck on the 64mb version... in my thoughts a GF2MX should endup around 1/3 slower than a standard GF2 and around half as fast as a GF2Ultra, you can use 3dmark to compair your setup to others and see when you are starting to hit the grove for your system.
here are 2 comparsions of my system on my journey to thermal viscosity using scores from 3dm2k and 3dm2k1 to provide an example of driver updates and overclocking on a "low end" system...
3dm2k 3139(spent a week geting it to run and I was proud heheh)
http://gamershq.madonion.com/compare.shtml?1884780
3dm2k 5635 last oc and driver update º¿º
http://gamershq.madonion.com/compare.shtml?2192705
3dm2k1 2056 first oc score
http://gamershq.madonion.com/compare2k1.shtml?1272581
32m2k1 2797 latest oc and driver update
http://gamershq.madonion.com/compare2k1.shtml?2269861
so friend by looking at results in my efforts I surmise that you can get at leist a 700 point increase in your 3dm2k1 scores and probibily 3 to 4 thousand in your 3dm2k scores... good luck and dont put an eye out.

Harli

i would say go for a crystak orb only a few more dollars more then the blorb and it has a 13% tempature decrease over the blorb
