First off, thanks to everyone who helped me out in getting this far. The EHEIM 1048 pump IS silent and I love it. The Z4 block seems to be nice but wish I could try Danger Den's new block for the 478. The Cooling Cube is a perfect fit where it sits. i went with the 3/8 ID silicon tubing and clamps from Danger Den. i am still waiting on the 120mm Papst fan, so right now I just have a antec 80mm blowing through.
So, what is the proper way to take temps? If I go by MM using the probes built into the Abit TH7-II I used to get about 60C with air cooling. Now I get about 42C at full load and this is with the 80mm fan. I guess It will drop a bit more after I put the 120mm on the CUBE.
I'm not done yet but here's what it looks like inside my case.
Thanks Again
Use a external temp probe for accurate results and get some 120mm fans for that radiator..looks nice btw.
Good looking rig you got there. The temps will come down abit when you get the 120mm fan on there. You might want to get another fan for pulling out the warm case air.
There are a couple of things you can do if it's going to be a while until you get the new fan.
First, you can seal the edge of the radiator to the case. Use a little duct tape for a gasket. This will stop you from recycling warm air from the radiator back around to the fan.
Second, cut out a piece of cardboard so the outside is the size of the radiator's outside diameter. Then cut a hole to match the fan's 80mm hole. Mount the card board onto the rad after mounting the fan on it. The fan looks too close to the core. This will cause poor air flow, as it's not going to use as much of the radiator fins' surface area.
Looks like you've got a great start, and welcome to the all consuming addiction!
be careful i just fried my xp1600 that oced to 1743 unlocked, i put the waterblock half on the socket and half on the cpu so it never touched the core.. DAM IT!!may she RIP

did the same thing to an athlon I just built. everyone tells me that the new xps wont fry whats with that??
They'd have a better chance of survival if the motherboard manufacturers would support the "in the chip" temperature diode.
It seems they are a little slow in implementation.
well mine fried... and it was a b-day present... o well i have the warrenty but my concer is getting a chip that runs at 1743
