Is there a 1T/2T memory setting in the BIOS? I don't see it anywhere, even with the Ctrl-F1 trick...

Not that I've found.

Here's a stupid question..
What's the default voltage for the memory???? I'm guessing 1.8v or 2.0v, but I can't find the number anywhere.

My DS3P shows 1.88v in PC Health and outher monitoring software. Check these out for your setup.

Ah, yeah it's in the bios.. Shesh, you think it would just say in the manual. I must be the only dude who actually reads them.

Mine was 1.8v by default.
I hate the way Gigabyte doesn't tell you the actual voltage and just allows you to add/subtract from some mysterious default number.
The board has also seriously overvolted the vCore on both my 45nm chips when set to "Auto", so the first thing I did was progressively knock the voltage down (running stock clocks) to see where I needed to start.
Besides that-and the crappy placement of the SATA ports- it's a great board.

Luckily, enough of these E8400's have overclocked consistently enough that I knew about where to start. The memory dividers are stupid too.
Board runs like a champ though so I can't complain too much.
