Debating on a card to buy

Ok i got a 3850 radeon visiontek 256mb verison. Now i seem to have problems with it. I don't believe its the card. I tried it in my friends machine for a few days ran fine. I ran his geforce in mine ran fine. I think it just doesn't play well with my motherboard.

So i seen i can get a 8800GS XFX for like 99 bucks after rebate. I'm aiming for that i believe. Is the card the same or better performance wise? I really only play wow. I can play basicly with everything just about maxed out. Sept for the AA or whatever. Just looking for some suggestions maybe.

Did both you and your friends machine use the same driver with the 3850?

Also the 8800GS will play WOW fine...

Have you even tried to fix the problems? Never seen somebody so readily just go out and buy something new without even trying to fix it.

Honestly theres a 95% chance your problem can be easily fixed, but I can't say for sure because you haven't given any detatails.

But to answer your question an 8800GS is in the same performance field as you 3850, and both are more then enough to run WoW maxed out.
