Has anyone with comcast internet noticed a major slowdown in speed? I was getting around 2 mbps down before the switch to comcast from @home now its around 1.4 mbps. Anybody in the New Jersey area or Pennslyvania with similar problems?

I have Comcast in Florida. We have so far (knocks on wood) had no problems with the switch over from Excite to Comcast.

I have heard alot of people complaining in the Pa/NJ area of the same problem as you.

There isn't a problem. Comcast is throttling back the connection speeds. You are supposted to get 1.5m/128 and that's exactly what your going to get. That is why you have slowed down.

There is a chance that once Comcast catches up and has all of their backbone in place that speeds will take back off, and more speed options for your accounts, but it's a long way off.

Thanks for the info. Well I guess those speeds were to good and all good things come to an end. The service has actually been very good for about the last year and I have had almost no complaints.
