So me and my fiance just jumped on the Blackberry bandwagon. We didn't have phones prior to this point (well we had a prepaid for a while, but yeah) so we went looking and she saw the Pearl and liked it (she only cares what they look like, not features :bang head

I had been looking at various smartphones and decided that the Blackberry Curve would probably work ok for me. It also works out because we can share the price of the Blackberry data plan on AT&T's family plan. :) So my fiance has her Pearl right now and I'll be receiving my Curve in the mail in a few days.

So I'm looking to see if any one here has a blackberry and knows of good sites to find apps/games/themes/whatever else I might need/want.

I'd appreciate it :)

about the only apps i use on my crackberry 8820 are:
google maps (which uses the GPS function built into the phone to give me my current location) AKA poor mans gps
opera mini
GMail
google talk
and i have all my personal emails running through it as well as my work email

i have found a few themes, the best i think i have found so far is bphone

i dont remember where i found the other ones, but one was called pillar, rb zen-88, vista today...there arent too many out there for my phone, but there should be plenty available for the pearl and the curve.

I've found a couple of sites that have some good apps and games and stuff.

http://www.bbsgame.mobi/
http://forum.eveek.com/
crackberry.com

Don't remember if there have been others and I just forgot to bookmark

Thanks a ton for that link to bphone, that is a pretty awesome theme. I like it, not because it makes it look like an iPhone, but because it's nice and easy to read/navigate.

So far I've got a few apps on my BB:
Google maps (pretty cool, GPS is fun to play with)
OperaMini (A must, I think)
A Cubs.com link that brings me to scores/highlights/schedules/etc. First I got the mlb.com app, then I found one that linked directly to Cubs info, so I got rid of mlb.com and just use that one.
amAze (it's a FREE GPS app. It's kinda slow and clunky, but it works - I'm sure that if I needed one for a trip, I'd probably just spend the $6 for Telenav)

EDIT: Oh yeah, I tried Doom and while yes "It played Doom" it was a horrible game to play. It wouldn't fullscreen so it was like a .75" x .75" window in the center of my nice big screen. And the controls were just ridiculous.
