Hey all! Today I started running F@H on my laptop as it doesn't do much apart from coursework and internet so it has plenty of free CPU cycles. As I'm new to this I was wondering how you get the F@H client to run across to cores. I have a C2D T5500 and right now its only running on one of the cores.I will list the limited specs of the laptop below. Also thanks to WarriorII for the warm welcome :)
C2D T5500
2GB RAM
7300GS GPU
160GB HDD
Thanks
either smp or you run 2 console versions.

I would reccomend 2 -5.04 console clients. GUI = problems
but that's me. I haven't run Windows client in a year.
Anyone else?

If you want to get the most out of that processor, you should run the SMP version. Check out Adak's guide here (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=555034) to get that set up properly.
If you're not going to run it 24/7 though, then you should just install 2 5.04 clients. Just make sure they have separate directories, and that they have separate machine ID's when you setup the configuration for them.

Just for giggles its now on my main rig (the one in my sig). I decided to put it on there because if I have nothing to better to do I sit here for hours on end and game, so its got 30% of CPU cycles which I think is fair enough as this rig is used for Crysis, COD4 and the alike :)

Don't run SMP on your game rig.
The deadlines are too short, it will not finish in time if you are gaming. (SMP client)
Deadlines are only a few days long for SMP.
If you are running say 5.04, you should be good then.
