In the Games section, I asume that you will understand that I mean a optical mouse for gaming.

So, which optical mouse for gaming are you using or recommend?

I picked up the non-feedback, non-wireless logitech optical. I haven't had anything else to compare it to but I instantly noticed the improvement between track-ball and optical in games and general use.

Not sure how it rates or compares but the price was right..about $20us and it incuded a usb adapter. Happy Hunting

Microsoft Intelimouse. I seem to be the only one here with it so far. Well I bought a LONG time ago when MS was the ONLY one to have them. It's never given me any trouble so there's no need to replace it.

Is the dual optical mouse from logitech worth buying? I've seen reviews says it is very accurate.
Don't know about the smooth bit. They are not clear on smooth or not but talks alot on presision and ergomic.

My friend bought one, and swears by it, although I have yet to seriously try it out. It's definately different, ergonomic wise and would probably take a little getting used to.

MY Logitech Dual optical is a great little thing. The only problem I had was reading the surface of my Ratzpad. The surface was a bit too reflective for accurate tracking. I sanded it a bit and it's great now.

Microsoft optical mouse without thoes annoying buttons on the side of it. I find thoes buttons are a pain when playing games such as counter strike or quake3.

I also had an old Intellimouse Explorer (not wireless), but it broke after about 7 months. I was completely shocked when I called M$...all they wanted was the serial number off the bottom . They sent a replacement that arrived within a week, I didn't even have to send the old one back to them. I loved it except for its short lifespan. I assume the new one (3.0) is improved and will last longer.

Logitech Wireless Optical.

It's a bit bulkier than a standard logitech optical, but the added thumb button and no cord makes up for it. Not having the cord is godsend in my house where my ferrets and cats like anything that moves. Try and use a regular mouse, and they will steal it right from under your fingers.

I wonder about the "Bonzai" noise they make as they leap for the cord, though...

Preformance wise, it's a definate keeper. I need to get a decent mouse pad for it, as the black one I have munches down batteries, and my desktop tends to cause a few isolated tracking problems. No problems with the RF, though, even when using a portable phone nearby. Usually get around 2 months of decent operation with two AA's.

Microcraps Intellimouse Explorer Optical USB.

This thing is one of the best tracking mice i ever used, only problem I ever had with it was the cord. Had to fix it about 4 times now due to there isn't any strain relief on the cord where it enters the mouse body. Last time I did it I added my own "strain relief" to it, after cutting out the bad spot on the wire i slid on a piece of heat shrink and re-pined the wires into the original plug, the heat shrink now keeps the cord from bending to much where it enters the mouse. It's been workin' fine for some time now, problem solved i guess, even if the cord is 4 inches shorter than it was when new. :D

love this thing. had a ms intellimouse explorer that went tits up, and decided to try a different brand. it does feel a bit different from the traditional mouse shape but after about 5 minutes wa completely at home with it. It's very accurate in gaming as well. and it's about half theprice of the MS stuff.

I use the duel optic, and it has only spased twice in the time i've had it it, 2 months, as opposed to the 4-6 times a day like the 1x.

Get one!

I had a first generation MS Intellieye but it crapped out so i got one of the new ones and it didnt feel right -had a different shape.
Swapped it out for a second gen (silver 800dpi) Logitecn iFeel and i love it.
Nice and small, I can move it around with the tips of my fingers.
The feed back is cool too.

I use the Intellimouse Optical, but I'm going back to a new USB Mouseman. More comfortable than the Intellimouse, but I'll check on the tracking and dpi compared to my old one.

micro innovations 2 button+scroll mouse........i got it for twenty bucks at Circuit City.......i like it better than the logitech because it's a little bit "taller" and it fits perfectly under my hand, the logitech's were a bit too low for my preference.

next time i'll buy one of those $20 silver CompUSA brand 5-button optical mice....so I can add reload/change weapon buttons to my mouse and remap my roger wilco keys...it should free up some buttons on the keyboard.
