How to over clock a pentium classic when you don't have the owners manual to the board....(or even the brand name)

Pentium Classic (Pentium 1, pre MMX)
currently running on 133mhz. Intel approaves of 200Mhz for the Pent 1. I've reached 266 earlier this week with a socket 5 board.

no jumper for bus speed, or CPU speed. but maybe someone out there can help me rack my brains.

What we have to work with:
Socket 7
Voltage Jumpers

current options (133Mhz settings are marked by *)

=========================
| CPU TYPE | JP1 | JP10|
-------------------------
| P54C | | OFF | ON |*
| 6x86 | K5 | OFF | ON |*
| 655C | | ON | OFF |
| 6x86L| | ON | OFF |
=========================

===============
| JP9 | VCC_3 |
---------------
| 1-2 | 3.30 |*
| 3-4 | 3.50 |
| 5-6 | 2.80 |
| 7-8 | 2.50 |
===============

| CPU | JP8 | JP7 | JP6 |
----------------------
| 50 | 2-3 | 2-3 | 2-3 |
| 55 | 2-3 | 2-3 | 1-2 |
| 60 | 1-2 | 2-3 | 2-3 |
| 66 | 2-3 | 1-2 | 2-3 |*
| 75 | 1-2 | 2-3 | 1-2 |

| JP3 | JP2 | Ratio |
--------------------
| ON | ON | 2.5x |
| ON | OFF | 2x |*
| OFF | ON | 3x |
| OFF | OFF | 1.5x |

(Other Jumpers)
JP5 (N/A - no pins)

JP11 OFF (Stencel Note: Cryix = 0N, else = 0FF)

JP4 [1-2]-3 (Next to CMOS = Cmos Clear jumper?)

Now with the CPU set at 66 and the 'Ratio' (Multiplyer?) set at 2, that give me 133 (roughly)

If i set the CPU to 75 and the Multiplyer to 3 then that'd put me up to roughly 225. What do you guys say? should i give it a shot?

Should i lower JP9 for less voltage to watch my temp?
IF i set it from 6x86 to 6x86L how would that effect my proformance?

How would i set the board for a 500 mhz chip? i don't see a combination for this.

egerly waiting the mass's opinion.

I see no problem getting your chip to 225 as long as you got the cooling needed... and as long as the mobo allows it... and it seems that 225 is your max PC for that MOBO... but if you can make that 133 run @500:eek: ...(... that would be interesting to hear about....

Lower the voltage?....noway
It will hardly work.
Go for 225....extreme caution on temps
Limit line is very close for that cpu
