other than checking your temps what's the best way to check the airflow for my case?
also, what is the best placement for fans? i know an inlet at the front bottom and an outlet in the back at the top. but is there any other palces i should consider?
The best visible way I've seen is to use a piece of glass/plastic in place of the side cover, and light a few pieces of incense so that the front intake sucks the smoke in.
The first step to improve case airflow is to cut out the perforated grilles on your present fan openings. This will quiet them down some as well as help airflow.
As for placement of additional fans, the most popular are a side cover mounted intake fan placed to blow onto the hsf (heat-sink/fan) and maybe one blowing on the graphics card, and an additional exhaust fan on top of the case (a blowhole, so named for whales).
Welcome, and enjoy. Hope this helps.
