I bought 3. For $30 shipped I figured it was worth a shot. I've owned some of their PSUs before. Not all are great, but the latest one of theirs that I tried was the Ultra 600w X-Finity and it was a beast of a PSU for what it was worth.
Anyone have any opinions? I wonder how their PSUs are these days. I'm sure they're no OCZ or Corsair, but this is $30!!
It's not the REGULAR price so it's not like it's a "OH MY GOD 700W FOR $30"... looks like it's just a SALE, but I'd like some input b/c I may buy a couple more for stock.

I got an Ultra Defender w/ 350W psu for $21.64 shipped. Awesome deal for a case.
I was going to buy a $19.99 case at Microcenter last week but it looked like poo.
I need an alarm that alerts me every time a new cyber deal is posted.

What JG has to say.
my order was cancelled. outpost has poor inventory management. i don't understand why it's so hard for them to figure out how to get it right like all of the other major vendors.
The Grid case looks decent with the 500W Power Supply for $30 Shipped.
The only thing I don't like is the tool less mounting system.

back in stock at the moment, lets see if they cancel on me (likely)
and if they don't.. I'm sure they'll royall irritate people like godm@n who originally ordered
I detest ordering stuff from Fry's. Reasons like right now where you can "add to cart" but then get
Sorry, the item is unavailable.
I still use a older Ultra case that's FAR on a server machine. Pretty decent just need more fans on them.
I was actually thinking about picking up the full tower with the 500w psu. I was going to use it for my headless server machine. It has a design that looks like the older Alienware pcs. Tho I was never really a fan of the company, I use to love their old cases.
One of those things I have 0 need for, but a nice thing to have :)

So you're still willing to order from them? :D :D
For $50 shipped with a PSU it's not a bad deal :). I'm not going to boycott them if one day a deal actually goes through. One of those "cut off your nose to spite your face" things.
See you are 25 min NW of NYC. I'm about 20 minutes W of NYC... are you in NJ or NY. NJ here.

I live by Nanuet, Spring Valley, West Nyack (Rockland County). Right now I work full-time at a client in Parsippany, NJ, but our office is located in West Nyack, NY... not sure how much longer I'll be at this client, but we're trying to design a new network for them here and taking over their IT services.
So... I'm all over the place. Where in NJ are you? :)
Oh ya, and I'm moving to Westchester... White Plains... within the next couple weeks. Moving in w/my girlfriend.

If it is anything like THIS (http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTQ2MCwsLGhlbnRodXNpYXN0) 750W, I'd say it is utter and complete crap. If you want to throw money away, my wallet is always open (I also take paypal)...

I'm 26... I couldn't imagine having a baby!!
I was 40+ when I had my first.
Got my first gray hair not too long after that.
Wouldn't trade any of the experience for any amount of anything...
My neighbor had his latest at 54.
He almost went out and shot himself.
It was his fourth child...you would think that by the time he reached that age he would have figured out what makes them.
Garo,
Life is funny...you meet a nice girl, next thing you know, you move in together (these days, you actually do that with nice girls), before long...well, just read the post before yours. :D
I lol'ed at your post Reefa. Pretty much because it's true. First comes moving in. Then the flo-chart beings. It goes something like this...
Move in -> Things go great -> Family starts asking about the "M" word -> You sweat your ass off on the top of the empire state building in the middle of summer, about to crap a brick and ask her to marry you -> You fight like theres no tomorrow -> you love each other like no tomorrow -> repeat last 2 steps -> You get married -> Baby.
Note on survival... if I would have known these before I moved in, I would have transitioned much easier. So I'll lay it out there for you. Girls fart... and its horrid. That's all :)
All joking aside, its funny how things happen but it's completely worth it in the end. BTW check your PM about lunch.

I PMed you back.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that dating an older woman is tough for me... for ONE REASON ONLY... the "ticking time clock" that EVERYONE tells me about. Even my damn older brother tells me about it and I hate it. I'm 26... I feel old, but I also feel young enough to say I don't want a kid just yet. She's turning 30 on Monday. We are just about to move in and I'm still trying to get my career together... and to top it off I make an entry-level salary and not even sure if this is the industry I want to be involved with for the rest of my life... I'm a Systems Specialist (IT geek).... still need to move up the ladder...
Anyway, no way can I... sorry, let me reword... no way do I WANT to have a kid anytime soon. I've told her this too... I'm not afraid of having a kid... I just don't want to have a kid anytime soon since I still have to get a better mount down with my feet before I start taking big leaps forward. Moving in and getting married is already a thing I'm starting to look forward to... a baby is not part of my plans and I hate the whole "ticking time clock" excuse...
So many people tell me, and her sister especially... her sister is a Nurse Practitioner... boo hoo!!! "Well, by the age of 35 the risks of having a baby are..." BLAH BLAH!!! That crap irritates me. That means I have A MAXIMUM OF 5 YRS to have a kid already delivered?? Screw that... I hate that kind of pressure.
Maybe I should be making another thread about this, but I'm rather just venting... my girlfriend doesn't put so much pressure on my directly, but indirectly for sure, as well as others surrounding the situation.... and the sad part (or the nice part of me) is that I understand the concerns, but man let a man breathe!!
I NEED A BEER DAMNIT!!! This coffee needs some alcohol in it.:beer:
Reefa, I already have a few strands of grey hair... or is it white? My uncles (both brothers of my mother, particularly the older brother more than the other) developed strands of white hair in his late 20s. I'm 26 and already have a few developing, but it's very hard to see if I don't point it out... under different lighting you could see it. It doesn't bother me the least bit b/c both of those uncles still have a decent amount of hair on their heads and they're in their mid 40s. :) My dad on the other hand has been half bald since I could remember... though I also know that his mustache has always been glued to his face... I wonder if he'll EVER get rid of it??
Back to work.
