I have a question for anyone who knows the DFI INF DARK, or any other motherboards that only have two rings for the pressure clip NB heatsink mount.

I got the MCW30 with my H2O loop, but since my board only has two rings, i can only use one of the pressure clips to secure the waterblock and it results in a poor seat. If a tube is putting too much pressure one way the block will lift off.
Is there anything i can do to strengthen the hold? I have heard of some people using super glue, but i don't like the idea of putting that on my NB.
Any help is welcome! thanks

After a while the thermal compound I used has cured and helps it stick, but I am afraid to see how strong the hold is. I'm sure it isnt that good.

yeah, that block is horrid for intel mobos (all mobos to be honest), superglue does work, put a bit in with the thermal paste and it helps hold but is still removeable later on, artic silver epoxy is pretty much perm but don't have to worry about it coming off. I think there is a alt hold down for it but it's just a click and still very loose. Imho, lose the nb block and use stock cooler, a good aftermarket air nb cooler, or a block made for the mobo itself

hi if that clip is going all around i bet you could loosen it a little and put a piece of plastic behind it so the bolt is in the middle tightening on both the plastic and the block
then the bolt / skrew would act like a weightrod ( not sure if that's the correct word )
