new cooler for 8600GTS?

alright can any one reccomend a good single slot cooler that will cool a XFX 8600 GTS?

no matter what i do the temps dont come with in reasonable range, right now its hitting 75C and i dont like it. i've lapped the heatsink opened up the opening for the fan (its a blower fan) a little, still nothing helps

lol, i am the master of the 8600. im running 660/880 core/ram and at idle its 50*, load is 68-70*, im only playing source games though (tf2, css). i do wish rivatuner would actually change the fan but its stuck as is.

as far as coolers go there aren't any really effective single slot coolers just fan upgrades that wont do very much at all, best bet is an accelero s1 rev.2 or accelero s2.

S2 doesent fit (i had an extra and tried) the thing is this card stock is 675/1000 no ammount of fans pointed at it did any thing, it was fine untill it was about 80F out side (about 76F inside) and now its flippin out.

What's wrong with 75C? My 8600 regularly saw 85C, that's normal for those cores. Nothing to worry about at 75, nice and cool..

I have Zalman VF-900's on my MSI 8600GTS OC's.. they seem to do well

but yes, so long as you don't mind having a 2-3 slot cooler i believe one those should fit.

i guess the 8600GTS has a different board layout, but thats new to me. i have a S1 rev2 on one 8600GT and a S2 on the other. both keep temps at 52C load(stock clocks, stock voltages). with it pretty much fully volt modded and clocked up i never saw higher than 60C.
