Hi,
This summer I might be looking for a multi gpu solution for my computer, and I was wondering if it would be worth it to trade my 8800GT for a 3870 and crossfire them, or get another 8800GT for SLI. I thought that I read that crossfired 3870's will kick around SLI'd 8800GT's

Here is a comparison.

8800 GT SLI is probably going to be better in every situation.
I would wait for the R700 from ATI or GT100/200 from Nvidia though

I could have swore the ATi cards excelled well above the 8800's when it came to AA and AF.

Nvidia cards are know to do well when it comes to AA and AF. I'm not sure why this is though, someone said it's because Nvidia cards have more RBEs (TMUs, ROPs)
I'd say the cards are about even when no AA or AF is turned on

in previous generations ATi was better in AA and AF but in the R600/RV670 and G80/G92 era nvidia wins due to ati needing to do it in software mode.
