View Full Version : Logitech Mouse problems
Lately (maybe since I got it) my Logitech Mouseman Optical USB is giving me resolution/accuracy problems. For example: WHen playing Operation Flashpoint my targeting reticle is not smooth. It seems to go in blocks. Like 1/8th inch. But for stuff in Windows its perfectly fine. I've tried both USB and using a PS2 adapter and setting the refresh to 200Hz. No difference. And as a comparison, a friend of mine (who uses one of my other PCs) uses a Microsoft Optical that is basically one step down from the Explorer and all his mouse movements are smooth as ever. SO, does my mouse just have a lower resolution sensor than the Microsoft one?

did you install the software for the mouse... I'd recommend uninstalling it...:eh?:
I've tried it both with and without MouseWare installed. No difference.:(
What kind of mouse pad are you using? Try using the desk it should be alot more smoother and more moving space.

I'm using a Ratpadz.
Running a logitech cordless laser mouse over here and it's perfect in RTCW and Quake 3 arena.
I'm sure you've updated your driver and what not
Maybe your mouse is defective.
give logitech a call and see what they say. They have great support.

I must ask, what driver? All I see on Logitechs website is that silly MouseWare stuff.

I'm using the Ratpad with my Logitech Dual optical and I had to sand it to a matte finish. It didn't track very well with the reflective surface. Just a thought;)
The mouseware contains the drivers for the mouse.
when i installed the most recent version of the mouseware software the driver build changed.

It's just scans slower, than your friends M$ mouse. I have an Aopen Optical, which is the same mouse as the logitech, just cheaper, and with Aopen logos on it. I have the same problem. It kinda "jumps" from one point to another when you're trying to snipe, or zoomed in with the binocs?
