alrite, i am sick of this thing, 3D Prophet II Mx, it has caused me nothing but headaches, now i just got me a decent rig, 1200 megahertz DDR, and my video cards makes my computer freeze about every 5 minutes, literally, i wont even be doing anything 3D related at all, it will just freeze! i took it out and borrowed an old S3 Trio 3D/2X and man does it suck, but my rig is a rock! has anyone heard of this happening with this card?
Is it overclocked?
How about cooling it?

it isnt overclocked at all! i even put a modded socket 7 fan and kept the originall heatsink on it and it still does it. i dont wanna have to buy a new one, but if i do it will be a radeon 8500 of geforce 3 ti
RMA it and save your $ for a Ti500. The prices will fall once the 4 comes out. Just an idea.

The waranty may have expired as the MX series is sort of old school now.
It sounds to me as you may have an IRQ conflict with your AGP card. Test it by putting in another card and see what happens. If the problem still exists, then look at other possibilities such as IRQ or Driver problems.

Ive already tested it and it was a faulty video card, theres was a scratch penetrating the pcb, apparently nothing vital but caused something to crash it is being RMA'd at the moment and i should be recieving it in the mail shortly, i hope:(
