Yup, its on order and I should have it by the end of the week. 1.5 GHz+ here I come! (I hope)

I'll post how it runs this weekend if everything gets here in time.

I just ordered GA60XET-C myself, I'm going to try a 900 cele first.
If the prices on those T's drop a little, I'll have one.

I paid $85 for it box retail. Not too bad for launch day. They should drop soon. I sold my current setup, so I had to get it quick.

I got the CPU and mobo from CompSource (http://www.c-source.com). They had both and reasonable shipping too.

That's not a bad price!! I already have the cele 900, (plus a
spare pc or 2) I don't know what to expect....I'll be disappointed
if I can't get past 1.2g

I don't think you'll get past 1.2 only with really hard cooling, good motherboard and luck.

But I won't be surprised if your 20mhz or 1.2 exact.

From what i have read....a very promissing combination.
Keep us informed.

Sorry to take a dump on this thread but I really wanted to see a chip that can do 160+ fsb on that MOBO to see what the PCI and AGP dividers would be. I have now heard a bad thing about the board not allowing cas2 above 150FSB. That sucks!

Ummmm....Ol'man....Who said that? I ran CAS 2,2,2,5/7 using my old P3 1000EB @ 160mhz FSB just fine (not for very long....Had to put the Celeron back in!), but it was definatly allowing CAS 2....

I'll let you know in a few days. If I can do 1.5, I'll be happy. Any more than that is a bonus.

Well that is now 1 for 160fsb cas2 and one against:)

Thanks fluid!

Never had such a hard time deciding which board to get until now:) I know the ST6 works great but I like the 1/5 dividers with the GA-60XET. I am going to the GB board unless I heard some more bad things about it.

If I dont like the Gigabyte, maybe I'll trade you for the TUSL2

Man....No board is perfect and all mobo's have their little 'glitches'....But a TUSL2-C?! Sorry....But they are a 'glitch'....

Eh, my CUSL2 is great. Anyway, I downloaded the manual for the GA6OEXT-C and it looks really cool. Some very nice features that my CUSL2 does not have. One complaint I have is "GA6OEXT-C" is way to friggin' long a name for a mobo. I hate typing the thing out!
