i have a p3 700 slot 1 with an alfa heatsink on an abit be6-2 mobo. pC133 memory. i was running a voodoo 3 and was able to overclock to a stable 124mhz. i just installed an ATI 7500 video card and can only overclock to 110MHZ. without locking the system at bootup. is this the limitaltion of my video card or am i missing something? Thanks for all replies.

Hmmmm... this post probably should be in Intel CPU's and/or video cards, but we'll let the moderators decide that.

Firsto of all, WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!!! Glad to have another member aboard! Now, let's get down to the nitty-gritty. I'm assuming both of these cards in question are AGP cards. It may be that your AGP Voodoo 3 runs at 2X AGP, not 4X like I think that Radeon 7500 most likely would. Try going into your BIOS and reducing the AGP from 4X down to 2X, see if that works for ya. I burnt an nVidia card trying to use 4X at high FSBs.

it is the graphics card that is the problem, nvidia cards do not mind high fsb speeds unlike ATI ones
