View Full Version : Is this a good price?
I found this on ebay and was wondering if the price was ok...
eVGA 8800GTS 640MB 640-P2-N824-AR for $172.. shipped...
i would skip it and get an 8800gt, with a mir it will be close to that price, but also faster.

8800gt will still outperform it with a mild overclock (plus will OC better), and you can find most for around $199.99 anymore.
For the performance difference I'd go with the GT over the GTS, but that is a pretty decent price on the GTS.
You can find a GTS (G92 chip) for around 220 if you shop around before rebates. The 512mb G92 is a lot faster than the G80 640mb. Also as listed above you can find a G92 8800GT for ~200 or less before rebate.
I'd hold off for that. G92 > G80

Btw , just for your info .... Evga does NOT warranty cards bought from Ebay even if they are new .
I'd grab a 8800GT from a reputable dealer and still do the rebate (even though you prefer no rebate) . Maybe the MSI 8800GTS (G92) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127325
