does vista include dx9 or is that a separate download?

in the error message i see a d3d9 error...could need a reinstall of dx9

If I'm not mistaken I beleive Vista needs the latest version of DX9 installed from M$. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I am stuck on vista atm, I need to get another hard drive and back up the stuff from the vista drive, and I am waiting for another one to come in so I can get off of vista. You can not imagine the PITA that it is to play a game! :(

Hold on a second. I am playing games on dx9 right now. So how do I need dx9?

You could be running an old version of DX9, Theres DX9a, DX9b, and DX9c, you need DX9c.
