Need a little help

How do I go about Sneakernetting on / in Ubuntu?

Version 6.10.
When I just try to copy the folder out to a thumb drive, it says I don't have permissions.

I thought about e-mailing parts of the folder to myself, but only as a last resort.

I am really unfamiliar here.

wait wait. I assumed in the PM that you were after the work directory. Is that not the case? Are you trying to copy root?

/ means root in linux terminology.

I am copying out the FAH Folder under "Folding".
So I can reload it later after I get parts changed out.

Parts being mobo & required a reinstall the last time I tried this.

Installing a Steam Roller into the case. :D
