Clocks in at 30g hard drive space! This may be the biggest game yet, at least to my knowledge.

That is pretty large for a computer game. Isn't MGS4 50gig?
Wow that's pretty ridculous.

Apparently MGS4 is, which is absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary. Either it has to be the longest game ever with the most varied environments ever and no repeated textures. In reality however most of this space will be due to Sony's ridiculous requirements regarding file formats and 30 minute long cutscenes of dialog in the game, all required in lossless 7.1 super duper wuper surround sound no doubt. Sorry, had to rant about that. :p
30GB is a hell of a lot of space, but it is an MMO after all, I guess it has a huge number of customizations regarding armour etc, huge environments...
HOWEVER... I remember Stranglehold requiring 50GB of space, but that was for the installation only, it needed the space for temporary files and the game "only" took up 12.5GB when installed. Maybe it's like that.
Dam, I wont be able to fit that on my raptor at that size...

geez....and we all know MMO's just keep putting more content on your drive. In a year that 30GB is going to turn into what? probably 40GB.

Damn that's huge. I guess I'm going to have higher expectations of that game, when I get it. It better be awesome if I'm going to pay them to take up that much hard drive space!
EDIT: Actually, I doubt it'll take up that much space; it probably take into account your OS, page file, and a little free space for updates.

Sort of off-topic, but has any information been released about pricing for this? Looks like something I might actually be willing to pay for monthly....
Sheesh...Why not require us to have servers?

i like it though because, most MMO's, the environments and graphics all look the same, very boring, this one actually might be high quality.

Yeah saw the 30Gig requirements. OMG damn huge. As for MGS4.. really they have both English and Jap sound tracks on there, and it being 7.1 and probably uncompressed its probably HUGE.

I believe I read in the FAQ on the main site, that it'll be the standard cost of typical MMO's out right now. That would be roughly $15 a month. This will probably be the first pay MMO I'll play, since 5 years ago.
The current beta folder clocks in at 24GB, this is with lots of uncompressed stuff and debugging files/logs. I'm guessing the 30gb is a safety margin but it hardly took that much to install even when it was not a release version.

I notice this game is also going to be on the xbox360. I totally understand that there will be a monthly payment on the PC version. However, is there going to be a monthly payment for the xbox version? Are they also going to link up the server on the Xbox with PC??

Well it would have to be different from the Xbox version due to the size differences. I mean 30Gig Requirements. Even if its half at 15Gigs thats still 2 Fully loaded DVD's, thats a heck of a game to have on the box, let alone putting anything on the 360 HDD which is 20Gig unless you get the elite version.

I can't wait to try this game out, I'm hoping for the best as I've been looking for a decent MMORPG replacement for a while now.
