If Newegg deactivates an Item, should I be concerned.

DFI LP790FX-M2R The top dog for AMD CPUs.

I'm getting one Tomorrow Apr 23 and would like more details. Online a customer rep said they had not info on the status other than it might be on BO with no ETA or the product changed to a newer model. Would suck if I bought the last one and the new one is better.

I have never seen that on Newegg before.

Maybe its just a page error and they meant to change it to out of stock?

Probably an OOS glitch. never seen that either and have been shopping the egg since they opened.

From what I have seen, it usually means it is discontinued. Meaning they wont be carrying it anymore. But it could be a glitch also.

Yea, I've seen quite a few deactivated items now, it's a new system they are implementing to identify the discontinued items.

Wow really? I've seen tons of deactivated items. I think it's an OOS item that they no longer intend on restocking but their web dept hasn't removed yet.

I guess I don't buy many discontinued items to notice. me = shopping guru of awesomeness and longevity, ftw

I have to go with the Discontinued with DFI releasing and updated board and new SKU. Might be scary that I managed to get NewEggs last DFI UberTop Mobo.
BTW, it's got the transpiper (NB/REG cooler thingy thay sticks out the case's rear). Also has the audio riser pulling some of the audio circuitry off the mobo.

Also saw new items like the Phenom Trikes get Disc'ed also. Wonder is Tank Guys or EWiz out bid them :p

Well...I remember this happened with the Abit IP35-E a few months ago, it was listed as disactivated, then they got more. So not always discontinued item, perhaps bug.
