Its gonna do just fine. My Ti200 does it, so a 8500 should do it better.

Max Payne wont be a problem for it, more than likely will be Ati's buggy drivers if anything!:p

Radeon 7500 plays Max Payne with maxxed out settings fine. I have one and love it . Imho the 7500 is a great deal cause I do not think the 8500 is worth double the $$
Lots of great features, In UT and get around 100-102 @ 1024x768 32 bit average fps in deathmatch @ 110% gameplay speed .
Read these article's 7500 will more than do the trick also TV out at 1024x768 no other card does this except 8500DV I believe.

If you buy OEM I would only suggest "powermagic or supergrace " brand as clock/mem speeds are the same as an ATI retail card as I have.
Great overclocking card. I researched alot before I bought and am very happy

The 7500 will support most new games coming out. Remember we are not exactly swimming in full DX 8 games yet. The card will do fine for the next year imho
The 7500 does support DX8 just not all the features, thats why it is called 7500 (7 denotes directX8). I will try to find out which Dx8 features it supports, it is like 3 or 4 of them. I have read about this.
If I were to buy from newegg.com I would choose this one
"ATI Radeon 7500 64MB DDR AGP OEM Powered by the RADEON 7500 graphics processing unit (GPU) High performance 3D graphics featuring ATI’s CHARISMA ENGINE PIXEL TAPESTRY and HYPER Z technologies RADEON 7500 display engine enables many combinations of CRT (VGA), digital flat panel (DVI), and TV displays.Hydravision Multiple Monitor anagement Software provides a flexible, user-friendly interface for multiple display settings Supports DirectX 8.0® and openGL Power by ATI Fedex Saver Shipping $7.00" $101.00
The personal reviews say this card is same as retail in specs but costs less.
You could also check out pricewatch.com they have the Powermagic Retail 7500 for $119 no price on cost of shipping though. The review on this card was good, read about it in the links above, but if you are looking for the cheapest then go with the one from newegg.com at $101
Guess you gotta make the call!! Good luck sure you will be happy with the 7500 though. $100 is cheap
