Hey all, I got a problem, see if you masters can help me out. I have a K7AMA Motherboard, 1.4Ghz AMD athlon. 256Mb,2100,DDR. Geforce2 GTS AGP, I have a IBM Fast access II USB keyboard(ps2 to usb adapter, cool huh?) and Generic USB mouse. and I cant use my USB keyboard after I have cleard the Cmso,

I get that press f1 for setup and press f2 for Defult setings I cant press anything. Whats weird also is that When I plug my keyboard in, all the lights come on, the Numlock, and Caps, and scroll lock, even when the power supply is unpluged, I guessing its suckin the power out of the internal battery and running it dry, and causeing the Cmso to be cleared. anyhelp would be appricated.

I cant just take off the USB adapter and plug it in the PS2, it got fried, along with all my Serial ports. I can see the line where It got fried, maybe I can fix it with one of those conductive pens. please help me.

On most boards when you clear the CMOS it sets your usb ports to off by default. I would normally tell you that you have to plug it in to the ps2 and then go back into your bios and renable your usb but if your ps2 is dead I don't know quite what to do. Good luck.

Wait.

Lemme see.... your bios had the option of you to enable the use of USB keyboard.

And your keyboard ports are fried.

Dude I don't think there's a way around this.

I'm with KingSlayer.

Sorry but I think you hit a dead end.

will a conductive pen work???? I can see the line, but not sure how to do the line because the whole motherboard, the lines are coverd in black, like a thin film of plastic. any help\how-to would be awsome.

Hmm..

What would you be doing with the conductive pen exactly though?

Sticking it where?

If all serial ports and you can't access your USB ports, then how will you get the pen to work if they won't do anything since the ports are fried or not working?
