1250 Hobby Pump
320 gph with a max head of 6.5 feet at 28 watts. Input 16/22 mm, output 12/16 mm.

I got it :burn:

yes the first of those numbers is the hose size and the second the size of the thread the barb fits into. So the outlet will fit 1/2" hose and a 5/8" threaded fitting which is roughly a 3/8" npt or similar fitting.

So are both the in and output fitting the same size? If not what are the sizes , will I need an adapter to run 1/2 OD tubing (3/8 inside diameter) for the inlet?

the outlet and inlet are different sizes
depending on how you set it up you may only need a hose over 1 end (submerged pump)
the outlet is 1/2 inch (12.7mm) OD so you would need 1/2 inch ID hose for it to go straight onto it.
3/8 inch is roughly 10mm you may be able to stretch the hose that much depends on the hose.

Ok I want to get this before the pump arrives next week so bare with me. I found this at the superfishstore they This is the MEDIUM size, external/internal Eheim water pump. Very dependable, all-purpose.

Intake = 16/22 mm. and output = 12/16 mm. tubing. 315 g.p.h.

Great for reef tanks or wet/dry filters! Made for submersible or external use.

SO I guess this is it...

output - 12/16 (12.7mm/15.9mm)...1/2in fitting OD / 5/8in hose OD

input - 16/22 (15.9mm/22.2mm)...5/8in fitting OD / 7/8 hose OD

Hrm, that's odd.... I've got a 3/8" ID hooked into my 1250 and it's not even that tight. I used 1/2" ID on the intake.

The outlet fitting (on top) is a 3/8" NPT to 1/2" barb fitting. The intake fitting is a 1/2" NPT to a barb size that I can't recall for certain (5/8 I think). I replaced the intake fitting with a nylon 1/2" NPT to 1/2" barb as I have a 1/2" setup. You can remove all of the fittings and you are simply left with one 1/2" NPT and one 3/8" NPT threaded female connections.

Hope that helps.
