Besides, do your homework on the RAM... Geil is never cheap cuz its great RAM. Plu, this is the uultra low CL. Again, do your homework b4 opening your mouth or go and buy some cheap Ballistix or OCZ...or whatever you use.

Wow.. what a moron.
I don't know why do you care. It's buyer concern. As goes for his listing if item doesn't sell, seller will need to pay listihg fees to ebay. At one point or another seller will get the message that sell not gonna happen.

Still completely foolish, if he does sell it, it'll be to someone who thinks the more the better as far as price. Just plain silly IMO.

If those are these http://www.memoryc.com/computermemory/ddr2ram/2gbgeilpc28000cl4ultrakit.html then it's not a total ripoff.
Those are some of the fastest sticks of DDR2 money can buy.
Dominators are available in 3-4-3-9 DDR2-800 which MIGHT hit 1000mhz @ 4-4-4-12, and there are some Mushkin sticks of 4-4-4-12 DDR2-1000 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146114 but those cost $175 for 2.
The only other thing which is faster is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145044 again Dominators, for over over $500.
I'd say the auction is towards the high side of fair, but it is not a rip off by any stretch of the imagination.

Well i just paid $43 for a set of Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800 16FD5 Double sided with the new heatspreaders without the clips and i had them running 1000 at 4-4-4-12 with 2.1v.and 1100 at 5-5-5-15.I didnt try higher................Yeah i know Crucials have that pproblem with SDS
If they are the ones ratbuddy linked us to then yf tuna is only asking about $125 to much.Just because DDR2 is so cheap now.I dont care if they are D9

And it's cl4 with a lifetime warranty. Used? I say 100-150$ but he really isn't that far off. It claims full retail packaging and everything so it may be worth 160-170$ if it actually is good condition, but I admit 275$ is way too high.

How long did it take you to get to the post office? How much gas did it cost you? Did you take the time to go and ship it for free? What about packaging materials? Were those free? Did you send it insured? Etc etc..

I hate people that make a point to critisize prices because THEY think its ripoff. A few years ago I used my Circuit City Employee discount to buy a ATI Radeon HD TV Tuner at a reduced price of $100+tax($129+tax retail value). After a month I couldn't get the dam HD to work so I posted here in the forums. I posted it for $75 dollars. Mind you the best price on newegg and zipzoomfly was still $120 but some dude here on the forums PMd me just to say it was nice that like to RIP off members so badly and that I should not be allowed to sell here. THE DAM CARD WENT FOR $120 RETAIL and he was mad that I was selling it for less than you could aquire it anywhere else? I also had the entire retail package left so this wasn't some half ass-ed sale here. My point is why do you care? quit wasting your time and his with worthless messages because eventually he will lower his price to a reasonable level just as economics dictates he will....which he allready has by the look of it.

So a typical eBay user sells X product way over priced? Hey if someone doesn't research going prices, that's their own fault and nobody else. This reminds me of the PS3 thing, tons of hype and ****ed off people seeing how much they were selling for. Don't like the price? Don't buy it. The funny thing is, is he has 1 bid on it too.

The auction in question is not overpriced, the issue is simple. The person who started this thread does not know their memory. Sticks rated at 4-4-4-12 1000mhz with a lifetime warranty are extremely rare. The auction is for 2 2x1GB kits. The cheapest you can find them new now is $155 PER KIT. When these kits were released, they were just under $500. I suppose people just fear what they don't understand, this is some of the best DDR2 in the world.

However, running 2.2v - 2.4v does not seem healthy since I have seen a lot of D9's die when over 2.2v.
Great ram reguardless.

You guys are crazy man, who cares if some guy on Ebay is selling RAM a little overpriced. You get ripped off everyday by all kinds of corporations.... Who here believes that those nice white Nikes they paid $150 for, cost more than $12 to produce? Or that the price of gas should really cost $4.50 a gallon? Or that a $60,000 dollar BMW cost more to produce than a $30,000 Lexus?
People sell things for more than they are worth, becuase people will pay...
And its Ebay, he's not going to get more than the highest bidder offers.
Which is currently at $245... If someone wants to pay that for this RAM, how is that going to affect your life. My RAM cost me $20 per stick
http://www.factorydirect.ca/catalog/product_spec.php?pcode=ME1006
never had an issue with em, so I'm not concerned if someone else pays nearly $300 for 4GB, when I paid $80 for the same thing. Their loss not mine.
