I'm running a T-Bird 1.4 on a Asus A7V266-E with an Alpha 6035PAL and 2 sticks of OCZ 2100 DDR. I just lapped the heatsink. I've run it with different multipliers and FSB but my idle temp is 52C and load is 60C. I run it at 140X11 and 11.5X135 vcore 1.80. My board temp is a constant 27C. It seems like the chip isn't getting good contact with the heatsink from the temps that I'm getting. Does anyone else think this is the problem? Any other ideas of what the problem could be or how I can cool it down.

I also have a 2500rpm blowing out the back and out the side above the CPU, I also have a front fan blowing in for circulation.

Thanks for any help.

well, how old is the Alpha pal 6035...............the spring clip on them wears out and ya might not be getting the right tension or pressure on the the chip for good heat transfer.................I would really recommend going to a different HS/F ..................since the pal6035 was really made for the socket 370 p3's ................

my guess would be simply that asus's temps are wrong.... i know that mine are about 9-10 degrees cooler then what the sensors report if u can find a way to measure how hot the cpu is without the onboard thermister
