I think my VIOP is hacked?

ahhh! someones been calling the fire department 5 times yesterday reporting a fire they came with the trucks and everything...but no one in my building is making the calls although the fire department said its coming from here. They said the next time a false report is made we will be fined although no one here is making the calls!!!........so im thinking my VIOP phone is hacked? is that even possible?i got earthlink truvoice and my router is a LINKSYS WRT54GL with DD-WRT Firmware with hardware firewall on and my wireless is secure i don't know how this can happen

What kind of encryption are you using?

The 911 dispatch center should have all of the E911 calls recorded digitally for later review. They also keep track of what number dialed 911. You might be able to do some investigating and see if they can help you out.

Even if the call came in on a non-911 line, those trunks should be recorded and ANI/ALI information should be trapped on them as well.

Anyway, ask them for a CDR record. Its what they bill you on so it will be your proof.
