Guys, I got this card installed and not sure what is wrong. But I notice in a game that my FPS seems to be really high. I mean 400-1200 sometimes. When it jumps near the high end of that number, my game goes into slow motion then comes back to normal speed. I am using the 174.93 drivers. I was using the stock drivers that came with the card but upgrading didn't help. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening? Here is my system info.

Gigabyte GA-EX38-DS4
Intel E8400 3.0ghz OC to 3.6ghz 1.25v 400x9
Corsair 750w powersupply
G'Skill DDR2-1000 memory running in 5.5.5.15 at 1:1
BFG 9800GX2 stock speeds

This is a new system I just built. Barely a few days old.

Rated FSB 1600
Bus seed 400mhz

maybe you could try vscync in those games, because I think the monitor cannot keep up with the card which might result in your "slow" game experience

Had it on, put it to off no difference. And the monitor should be able to keep up fine. 37" LCD. :)

well, the monitor's optimal fps is usually 60hz on bigger monitors(22" ) , if you exceed that amound in fps(so more then 60) you can experience some tearing, this is the monitor not being able to keep up with your GFX card. If enabling vsync didn't help you may have to try other drivers

Never thought I would see a thread about someone having too MUCH FPS...
