I know this isn't console..... but since it is game related I didn't want to put in GD either. So, I went to visit my cousin in Nashville and he decides that we should go to Dave and Buster's since when we were little we used to ALWAYS go to the movies and arcade together, I mean like every other day......
We went to see the new Harold and Kumar before going to D&B's and I was hesitant to go because the last couple of ones I went to didn't have any good games.... BOY WAS THIS ONE DIFFERENT!!!! They did have a lot of old games and a lot of BROKEN games  but they also had:
An arcade version of MARIO KART with steering wheel, pedals and all.... FUN
A Madden arcade game ( we beat on each other for an hour with this)
The Initial-D racing game (again pedals and wheel).
A Star Trek Voyager booth and shooting game
A Deal or No Deal ticket dispensing game (was kind of neat actually)
An ATV off road game that bucked and bounced like a mechanical bull
A REALLY fun Family Guy pinball game which had a miniature version of itself as a mini-game called (Stewie Pinball) unlocked by lighting up the word P-I-N-B-A-L-L and then shooting a certain ramp
And last but most definitely BEST. There was a NEW VERSION OF AFTERBURNER that had modern combat jets like the F-14D, The F-15E and The F-18 Hornet...... It had a flight stick and a throttle control. You sat in a cockpit-like booth that had speakers in the headrest. The game is FAST, I mean like hyperactive fast and you have to snake through canyons like inthe Star Wars Pod Race, dodge missiles and shoot down everything from blimps to helis to big old DC-7 sized planes. The cool thing is that the whole booth is shaking and swinging around while doing this and the screen is somewhat panoramic so you really get the sensation of the speed and flight, the barrell rolls are especially fun.....
Well, it's too bad it's a 3hr drive to get there or else I'd be playing more..... now time to get back to pretending to work and dealing with my enormous hangover.....
