Well I'm trying to figure out a way for my roomies to spend time constructively with each other.

Our current idea is since we all own Dungeon Siege 2 is to play through Dungeon Siege 2 together.

Another option would be Never Winter Nights 2... But not all of us own that...

Does anyone know of a good cheap/free dungeon crawl that supports up to 4 player co-op?

Errrr can't think of the name. If you like diablo type action there is a newer free mmorpg that is out that people on the wow forums are saying is exactly like diablo and they said it's very good. I was gonna try it hold on let me see if i can find it for yas.

But also check out free mmorpgs theres tons of them, one that looked good to me was Grand Chase werid style of game play. Seems to be more action type game with equipment but anime look might turn ya off.

no this game is in beta, and its got new graphics. runescape is old.

This is a basicly brand new mmorpg thats like diablo.

edit: still looking but i know this one is a real new one. so many free mmo's flooding the market its hard to track it down lol i was interested myself it trying it out. Everyone on the wow forums said it was awesome.

But just look around theres tons of rpgs online that are free, that have a diablo or wow or whatever feel to them. Mu online.

I think you're thinking of Fate, a badware-supported dungeon crawler in the same vein as Diablo II

After I uninstalled it it took me 3 hours to remove all the crap it left behind. Nice game, pretty looking, but not worth the trouble.

Are you talking about Mythos? I read about it in the latest PC Gamer and it sounds like what you are talking about.

We sort of want to avoid MMOs... They generally are huge time sinks.

We want something we can pick up and play together, and put down an hour later...

The original Neverwinter Nights games and expansions if you never played em. Either the Diamond or Platinum edition comes with them all and even includes a few user-made modules.

Guild Wars. Online MMO with no fee. You play in your own instance and the game still looks great and scales very well. They've done dramatic improvements in the last 3 years. I would say nearly all the missions can be done in an hour or less. There is no 4-6 hour long WoW crap. It has spawned 3 expansions if you want to get more out of it after the original.

Baldurs Gate II if you havent already. Its the oldest game here, but there is supposedly well over 200+ hours of content+main+side quests. Going to need Hamachi for any hopes of connecting and playing though.

Icewind Dale games.

This has a ton of those solid games in 1 pack.

Seriously...that's about it. Neverwinter Nights 2 was the last coop RPG game, which was decent, but also a system hog. I played it through with my dad and brother, but we never bought the expansion.

YES! MYTHOS IS IT!!!!!! thx. lol

If you looking for stuff like balders gate and stuff. Go to gametap. 99 cents for the first month they have all them games there. Thing works great. Then at the end of the month cancel your account before you can get to the very end of them asking you 3 times about canceling they will offer you a free month on them lol.

Theres tons of good games there and they even get a few new ones. My buddy and i got it for two months played some classics etc together.

Because the only thing i see these days that wont cost you and your friends alot of money are the free mmorpgs.

Check out gametap, plenty of games for you guys to play through that are kinda like what your looking for.

Bah, Mythos is 'ok' at best.

It seems that it has everything behind it - relatively good graphics, distinct characters, tons of gear but there are a few key things that are missing and probably won't be getting fixed anytime soon. The game has virtually no story line, no cinematics, and repetative environments that drive you crazy. The quests are boring and instances, even though there is a random level generator, feel exactly the same. Even though some games seem to be 'ok' without these things, Mythos isn't one of them. Just my 2 cents.

Only co-op that comes to my mind is Rainbow Six Vegas. It's pretty fun to do CO-OP but its an fps.

Not sure if you like any RTS Games but theres a few out there that are quite fun, and a few more on a distant horizon for the future (like starcraft II and RA3 I'm waiting on)

Command & Conquer games (like C&C3) are quite fun for co-op online/single/multi (theres no co-op missions or anything though) but they are fun and you can put the games down right away.

Adding a vote for Baldur's Gate II :) Nice and challenging, and having real people in your party can make things much better since you don't have to setup the AI for them :) If you only play it for an hour or two at a time, it _WILL_ take weeks to finish unless you ignore every last side quest. Amazon.com has BGII + ToB expansion for $15 shipped here (http://www.amazon.com/Baldurs-Gate-Ultimate-Collection-Shadows/dp/B00009ECGG/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1209612372&sr=8-2). Same product is all over eBay for $10 shipped if you do some searching.
