My screen name is TeamRainless (no space). This is probably one of the greatest things I've ever seen... All the modes are open, I was just the highest scorer on my team for team deathmatch AND I do hair...

This is the greatest game ever...
You GOTTA play GTA race... I was with a bunch of people that had motorcycles and we all missed the SAME TURN and winded up in the river. We were all crawling out at the same time... Then it occurred to me:
"I got a gun..." SO I KILLED THEM ALL! I was in first place!
There are first aid kits to repair your car... and booby traps... and of course all the weapons. It's DELIRIOUSLY fun.
OK. I gotta play this game....you guys are making it sound like I'm missing the end of the world.
PS3 > 360 ?
I have to get a system again

Yes. I can now say yes. GTA IV makes the 360 DVD drive loud as hell, you've got to pay for their online service, their "Downloadable content" hasn't even been invented yet, and the mandatory install on the PS3 version makes it load faster. (And, as a minor note, the PS3 boxes look cooler.)

Multiplayer
GTA IV is the first game in the series to officially include online multiplayer, with 15 modes of play available.The multiplayer supports up to 16 players and allows players to explore the entire city. Players will use a customisable character in a majority of the modes, with cash earned during play able to be used to purchase clothing for their character. Hosts of the games can control many variables, such as time of day, police presence, pedestrian presence, traffic, location of game, and weapons. The online games are split into ranked and unranked matches. The reward for the ranked gameplay will be cash, which will determine their rank.The game does not feature any split-screen or LAN multiplayer modes.
Game modes are as follows:
Team Deathmatch: 2-8 teams will compete to accumulate the most kills in a traditional deathmatch.
Team Mafiya Work: 2-8 teams will compete to complete contract work for the "mafiya", such as escorting/killing targets or stealing cars.
Team Car Jack City: 2-8 teams will compete to steal cars and earn money for keeping them undamaged.
Cop n' Crooks: a team of cops must compete against a team of crooks. The "All for One" variation requires the cops to kill the crooks' "Boss" before he is escorted to the extraction point. The "One for All" variation requires the cops to kill all of the crooks before they reach the extraction point.
Turf War: Two teams will compete to take control of designated areas of the map and control them for as long as possible.
Race: players will race through checkpoints in a traditional automobile race.
GTA Race: players will race through checkpoints in an automobile race, with the ability to combat their opponents.
Hangman's Noose: a co-op mode that requires players to collect a person from the airport and safely escort him to the extraction point before the cops kill him.
Free Mode: players have the entire map open to explore, with no end goal or mission to complete.:soda:

I think there is. That list is DEFINITELY not all the multiplayer game modes. For starter's he's missing all the non-team modes. And a hell of a lot of other stuff. I'll add to his list later.

I rented it. I keep getting invites, but don't know how to access multi-player. I have no user's manual...

Press "Up" to access the cell phone, then go down to multiplayer, then go to invite, and finally press "X" to accept the invite.
And BUY THE DAMNED GAME! I just became interested in it in March, I put ten bucks down a week and now I've got it.

MP for PS3 still down @ 2:30 Eastern..........
I went on a date with Michelle and did some bowling. I didn't do great but I beat her. That's right!
Almost done with the Roman missions. I spend more time jacking people and going on joyrides. I love it when people hang on the side of the car while you're driving away.
Well, back to killing.......MUUUUWWWWWAAAAHHHHHAAAAAHHHHHHAAAAAA !!!!!!!!!!
PS - Can't play tonight. I'm going to see Iron Man. Can't wait!

Im buying a 360 just so I can play this ROFL, I got 100% on GTA3, VIce and SAn andreas. I can get it on this game!

Too much fun! Rainman and I had dem suckas scared until I got booted from PSN.
THAT's what happened. Same thing that happened to him. All of a sudden something flashed on the screen that said the game room had disappeared, I looked for you (iaacp) in my friend's list but it said you weren't playing GTAIV.
Apparently they still have a few kinks to work out of the PS3 multiplayer...

I have to work, learn, play GTA4 and now there's a TF2 2-day trial that a bunch of my friends are hopping on...
I hope I'll have the time to play online some time soon, until then it's the odd bit on singleplayer here and there.

I went online last night but it was late. MP is cool.
When I tried to load my save game it wouldn't load. I had to sign off PSN before it would load. Weird.
