Does anyone know where to get a 30-50 foot usb cable?

And will a USB cable work at that length?

Trying to use a usb camera in another room connected by a large USB cable if possible.

Thanks in advance

not sure if it helps, but here's (http://www.a2zcables.com/a2zcables.storefront/3c34429d12664100271ed143c8fe0671/Product/View/UEX&2D16) an ad that sells extension cables that'll go up to 80'. This (http://www.usbcable.com/index.html) page sells what appear to be boosters....extend cables up to 330', from what it says. These (http://www.pccables.com/cgi-bin/orders6.cgi?action=Showitem&id=ID655172&partno=70508&search=USB&rsite=www.pccables.com&rcode=) cables are 15' and only $3.99. Buy typical USB cables and use these (http://www.networktechinc.com/cgi-bin/keemux/usb-adapter.html) to join them. Guess they're called USB Active extension cables...they're (http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/usb_cables.html) a bit pricy too. Everything I read tho, seems to say 80' is about the max w/o a powered repeater. The only alternative I've seen is for USB to CAT 5 converters. That last site also says "You cannot use regular, non-active extension cables past 16.4 feet (5 meters) without using hubs between the cables."

Don't thank me....thank Copernic. =)
